Lidar component will consist of: (a) Mobile lidar complex based on vehicle; (b) Lidar complex located in a tower on the roof of faculty building,
and (c) Centre for data collection, storage and analysis. Multiwave mobile lidar complex includes Shortwave differential absorption lidar for detection of gaseous substances in atmosphere, Doppler heterodyne lidar for wind direction and strength measurements, and Aerosol lidar for measurements of atmosphere aerosol parameters. Multiwave lidar complex in tower includes Doppler heterodyne lidar for wind direction and strength measurements, Aerosol lidar for measurements of atmosphere aerosol parameters.
The lidar complexes are compliant with European Aerosol Research Lidar Network criteria.

The mobile multiwave lidar complex includes:

- Shortwave lidar of differential absorption for registering atmospheric gas components - UV differential absorption lidar (UV DIAL) Ti:Sapphire

The stationary lidar complex includes:
- Doppler lidar for wind velocity and direction registering
- Aerosol lidar for registering atmospheric aerosols parameters

Both lidar complexes are equipped with
- 350mm telescope that provides registration of weak signals
- Scanning system for sky sounding under various viewing directions.
- Special computer software has been elaborated for solving inverse problems of lidar sounding, and delivered results in descriptive and convenient illustrations for an operator and manipulating the whole system.

Application fields of lidar complexes
- Global ecology, atmospheric physics: ozone content in the troposphere and stratosphere, atmospheric aerosols, small gases.
- Meteorology: vertical profiles of wind velocity, atmospheric turbulence, cloud structure, atmospheric humidity
- The ecology of megapolices: small gases (NOx, SOx, aerosols) content. Studying processes of natural and anthropogenic pollution of the Environment in real time with using automatic remote systems for routinely monitoring and informatics contemporary technologies.
- Prompt diagnostics of sudden emergencies and early prevention of ecological safety threats: fires, explosions, accidents at chemical and nuclear enterprises.
